Noon is one of the biggest online marketplaces in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and for many local brands it is the second channel after Amazon. I have worked on Noon Seller Center for brands of different sizes, and the same questions come up every time: What do I need to register? How do I list products? Should I use Noon’s warehouse or ship myself?
This guide answers those questions in simple steps. It is written for beginners and small businesses in the UAE who want to start selling on Noon without wasting time or money.
Why sell on Noon?
Noon is a homegrown marketplace with strong brand awareness across the GCC. Selling there gives you:
- Ready traffic: shoppers already search on Noon, so you do not need to build an audience from zero like you would with your own Shopify store.
- Local delivery network: Noon handles fast delivery across the UAE when you use its fulfilment service.
- Big sale events: campaigns such as Yellow Friday and Ramadan sales can bring a large spike in orders.
- A second channel: if you already sell on Amazon, Noon reduces your dependence on one platform.
If you are comparing marketplaces, read my Amazon UAE seller guide as well. Many sellers run both.
What you need before you register
Prepare these documents first. Registration is much faster when everything is ready.
- A valid UAE trade licence that covers the products you want to sell (general trading or e-commerce activity).
- Emirates ID or passport of the licence owner or authorised signatory.
- A UAE business bank account with IBAN details, so Noon can pay out your sales.
- VAT registration certificate if your business is VAT registered.
- Brand documents if you sell your own brand, or authorisation letters if you resell another brand.
Requirements can change, so always check the latest list on Noon’s official seller registration page before you apply.
Step 1: Create your Noon seller account
- Go to Noon’s seller registration page and sign up with your business email.
- Enter your company details exactly as they appear on your trade licence.
- Upload your documents and bank details.
- Wait for verification. Noon may contact you if a document is unclear.
Tip: small differences between your licence name and the name you type are a common reason for delays. Copy the legal name exactly.
Step 2: Understand Noon Seller Center
Once approved, you manage everything in Noon Seller Center. Spend 30 minutes exploring these areas before you list anything:
- Catalog: where you create or match product listings.
- Inventory and pricing: where you set stock levels and prices.
- Orders: where you see and process customer orders.
- Payments and reports: where you check fees, payouts and performance.
Step 3: List your first products
There are two ways to list a product on Noon:
- Match an existing listing: if the exact product is already on Noon, you add your offer (price and stock) to that listing.
- Create a new listing: for your own brand or a product that is not on Noon yet, you create the full product page.
For a new listing, the quality of your content decides how often shoppers find and buy your product. Focus on:
- Title: brand, product type, key feature, size or quantity. Use the words shoppers actually search for. My keyword research guide shows how to find them.
- Images: clean white background for the main image, plus lifestyle and detail shots. See my image SEO guide for naming and sizing tips.
- Feature bullets: short, benefit-led points. Answer the questions a shopper would ask in a store.
- Description: extra detail, usage instructions and what is in the box.
- Arabic content: adding good Arabic titles and descriptions helps you reach more shoppers in the region.
Most of the rules from Amazon listing optimization also apply on Noon. Specific, honest, keyword-rich content wins on both platforms.
Step 4: Choose how you will fulfil orders
Noon offers different fulfilment models. The two you will hear about most are:
- Fulfilled by Noon (FBN): you send stock to Noon’s warehouse and Noon stores, packs and delivers your orders. This usually gives faster delivery promises and better visibility, but you pay storage and fulfilment fees.
- Seller fulfilment: you keep stock in your own location and prepare orders yourself, and Noon arranges the pickup and delivery. This gives you more control but needs reliable daily operations.
My practical advice: start with a small range of fast-moving products in FBN, learn how your products sell, then expand. Do not send large quantities of untested products to the warehouse.
Step 5: Price your products correctly
Before you set a price, calculate your real cost per order:
- Product cost and import or shipping cost
- Noon referral or commission fee for your category
- Fulfilment and storage fees if you use FBN
- VAT
- Advertising cost per sale
- Returns allowance
Fees differ by category and change over time, so use the fee details in Seller Center rather than old screenshots from the internet. Many beginners copy a competitor’s price and only find out later that they lose money on every order.
Step 6: Get your first sales
New listings need a push. These actions help the most:
- Noon Ads: sponsored product ads put your listing in front of shoppers searching for related keywords. Start with a small daily budget and specific long-tail keywords.
- Competitive launch price: a fair launch price helps you get the first orders and reviews.
- Stock availability: running out of stock hurts your visibility, so keep an eye on inventory, especially before sale events.
- Join campaigns: apply for Noon promotions and sale events that fit your margins.
Common mistakes beginners make on Noon
- Weak product content: short titles, blurry images and missing Arabic content.
- Ignoring fees: pricing without a full cost calculation.
- Sending too much stock too early: storage fees add up on slow-moving products.
- Not checking performance metrics: late shipments and cancellations can limit your account.
- Selling restricted products: some categories and brands need approval. Check before you buy stock.
Quick checklist
- Trade licence, ID, bank IBAN and VAT certificate ready
- Seller account approved
- Products researched and margins calculated
- Listings with strong titles, images and Arabic content
- Fulfilment model chosen (start small)
- Launch ads and stock plan ready
Frequently asked questions
Can I sell on Noon without a trade licence?
Noon is built for registered businesses, so in most cases you need a valid trade licence. Check Noon’s current seller requirements for your situation before applying.
Is it better to sell on Noon or Amazon UAE?
Both have strong traffic. Many brands start on one and add the other within a few months. Selling on both reduces risk and reaches more shoppers.
Should I use Fulfilled by Noon?
For fast-moving products, FBN usually improves delivery speed and visibility. Start with a small test quantity and expand once you see consistent sales.
How long does it take to get the first sale?
It depends on your product, price and competition. With good content, a fair price and some advertising, many sellers see first orders within the first few weeks.
Selling on Noon is very manageable when you prepare properly. Get your documents ready, build strong listings, start small with fulfilment and track your numbers every week. If you also sell on Amazon, apply the same process there and grow both channels together.
